MENTORING
“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”
Proverbs 27:17
M.I.A. Ministries mentors both inside prison walls and outside in marketplace with both men and women. Listening and understanding their emotions and feelings, building up their confidence and trust in who they are in Jesus Christ. Empowering people not to turn towards man, addictions and any other co-dependency; but to look inside themselves to the Lord Jesus Christ who lives in their hearts and upwards to Our Father who directs all things.
ONE-ON-ONE MENTORING – We live in an ever-increasingly “Me” society and a technological age that shallows up any relationships even within the church. There is a great need to intentionally build and deepen personal relationships. Spiritual mentoring includes discipleship, book studies, Bible studies, prayer, counseling and teaching. We serve to help others understand how God has uniquely called and gifted them to serve and glorify the Lord in the various arenas of their life. M.I.A. Ministries is dedicated to speaking into their life the Light of Jesus Christ and the Hope and Power in His Resurrection! MODELED After Jesus - A highly relational and deeply personal approach to ministry is the ministry of our Lord Jesus modeled for us to follow.
Spending in-depth time with the twelve apostles was Jesus’ model for ministry to mature them in their personal knowledge of Him. His classroom was the classroom of life as they watched Him love and serve and preach and heal. (1 John 1:1-3) Classroom setting for M.I.A. Ministries varies from inside a Prison to outside in the marketplace; this is where the basics truths of the Bible are taught and people are transformed with the healing touch of Jesus Christ. Personalized mentoring is the backbone of M.I.A. Ministries. It is as much a pouring out as it is being poured into.

Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” |
